Dr. Couch, what is “The Lord’s Day” in Revelation 1:10. John said he “was in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day.” Is this Sunday?
ANSWER:
The word Lord (kuriake) is used as an adjective. John is writing
something like: “I was with (under the influence) of the Spirit in a
Lordy kind of day.” He is not saying this is Sunday or Sabbath. His
point is that it was a very special day because in it, he received very
specific and direct revelation from the Spirit of God! The Lord was
addressing him with the final book of the Bible!
